Hamilton Regional

Back in August I went to Hamilton Ontario for our first  Regional of the season.  Carrie and I went in a day early to set up for the show.  I was a little nervous about getting through customs in Canada, but luckily I didn't have any problems this time.

 Me and my traveling buddies, Cobie, Hatton and Derek.  I've traveled with Cobie and Hatton and the events team for six and a half years.  I've really enjoyed getting to know them.  I know I've said this before and I'll say it again the Events team is a close family and when you have the opportunity to travel with your co workers you really get to know each other and I've loved working with them.

 After the regional Heather Summers and her friends took us to Niagara Falls but first we stopped to get dinner at Jack Astor's

 The food was so good.  I think it was one of the best burgers I've had.

Hamilton was so much fun, thanks again Heather for taking us to see the falls. They never disappoint!

Star Valley Ranch

Last August we had our annual trip to Star Valley. I love it up there. I know I say that every year I write a post about this trip but I really do. We started a new tradition last year by stopping at Ruth's Diner for breakfast so of course we did it again this year. Can't resist those mile high biscuits.

 

 

 

 

We always stay at The Cabin Creek Inn.  This year we upgraded to the Bunk House.  It had a bigger kitchen and two separate bedrooms.  Funny thing was when we got there and checked in they didn't have us down for the cabin that night.  They had us checking in  the next night but not that night.  We about died. Luckily they had three cabins left, it was rodeo weekend. (Lincoln County Fair.)  That would be have been a long drive home.

 We love the Goofy Bear.  They have the best french dip sandwiches and french fries.  I end up craving them all year long.  We usually schedule our tee of times around eating at the Goofy Bear.  Don't judge!

 Good times in Star Valley.  Seriously you can't go wrong when you there, laying by the pool, golfing and relaxing.  Until next time, and since the post is 5 months late, it will be here before I know it.

Sundance Summer Theatre

This summer we went to the Sundance Summer Theatre production of Seven  Brides for Seven Brothers.   I remember seeing this play with my family in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and I have loved it ever since. 

 

 

It was  a perfect summer night for outdoor theatre.  And we watched it with Robert Redford himself.  Well he was a few rows down from us but it was fun to see him.  I can't wait to see which show they do next year.

Convention 2012

In July we had our annual convention.  I love this time of year.  It is a lot of hard work but so much fun at the same time.  This year the theme was I am...   And of course I took a ton of pictures so here we go.

We had a couple nights where we had to wait for a class to finish and then reset for a new class in the morning.  It's a good thing many hands make light work.

Thursday night was Awards night.  It's always fun to dress up.

One thing I love is eating breakfast with my co-workers.  I know it sounds weird but I love it.  We laugh and laugh.  There is never a dull moment.  It's probably because we are totally exhausted  but it's always fun.  I actually have withdrawals when convention is over and I have to eat breakfast by myself.  BOO!

Sunday morning some of us went to The Music and the Spoken Word.  It was an awesome end to an awesome week.

 

This was also my last show as an Event Coordinator. I still work at Stampin' Up! but in the Product Management department.   It was a bitter sweet convention for me.  I have helped plan seven convention and it has been awesome.  It's a good thing it usually all hands on deck when it come to convention so I hope I'll be there next year.
